There are many insects that feed on turf, but most do not cause great damage.

Usually, insect damage will cause your turf to turn yellow and slow down in growth, but these symptoms can be caused by other problems as well. Some insects simply live in the turf or soil and cause the turf little harm.

Leather jackets and chafer grubs however, can cause real damage to your lawn if you have an infestation. If you think you have a problem with insects, we recommend you consult a lawn expert before you take any action.
